This Is What Shopping Should Feel Like: Step Inside the World of OULA

By nature, a fashion designer has a strong sense of personal style. It takes a deeply personal sense of self and creative reflection to bring a garment to life through fabric. So it’s no surprise that Denver-based designer Erika Dalya Massaquoi lives in a historic home that reflects the same aesthetic vision found throughout her fashion brand, OULA.

Designed by Massaquoi herself, the home serves as an extension of the OULA aesthetic. Inside The Stonehouse at Capitol Hill, you’ll find a layered mix of global influences, collected treasures and effortless luxury.

Massaquoi’s designs have always been guided by a love of luxury, intention and craftsmanship. At the core of OULA is the belief that the wearer should feel proud and confident in her own skin. Each OULA piece is a celebration of bohemian womanhood, crafted for women who embrace individuality, confidence and self-expression through clothing that feels as personal as it is beautiful.

On Saturday, June 27 from 1–4 p.m., experience OULA firsthand at Massaquoi’s historic home during “At Home With OULA,” an afternoon celebrating all that she has built. With cocktails and music inspired by the brand, guests will have the opportunity to shop, connect  and immerse themselves in the OULA aesthetic.

Founded in 2015, OULA has spent the last decade cultivating a distinctive point of view rooted in color, craftsmanship and joyful self-expression. What sets the brand apart is its blend of globally sourced textiles, vibrant color, cultural storytelling and a distinctly modern approach to luxury. With its signature resort-bohemian aesthetic, OULA creates clothing that feels both worldly and deeply personal.

Massaquoi has long been embedded in Denver’s fashion community. Most recently, she showcased the OULA collection on the Color of Fashion runway, bringing Room & Board in Cherry Creek North to life with looks suited for everyday wear, special occasions, and everything in between.

Massaquoi has lived in New York City, Miami, and other major metropolitan centers across the country, but has called Denver home for many years. A decade after launching OULA, she is opening the doors to her historic Capitol Hill home and personal archive for a rare, intimate gathering celebrating fashion, community and the beginning of a new chapter.
