We believe that stories, like artifacts, deserve to be displayed with intention. What began as a local vision to highlight the Denver community has grown into a digital destination for readers who crave high-quality prose and genuine connection. We don’t just report on the scene; we curate the best of it.

A Colorado native with a journalist’s heart, Abby relocated to Denver in 2022 to transform a personal tribute into a cultural staple. The Curio Cabinet began as a nod to her late mother, a woman defined by her love for eclectic fashion and storied trinkets that filled their family home. Today, Abby honors that legacy by weaving together the threads of fashion, art and lifestyle that are the heartbeat of the Denver community. 

 

Known for her sharp wit and “notes app” philosophy, Abby translates fleeting observations into profound narratives. After beginning her career in traditional journalism, she has shifted her focus to championing the local culture she loves. When she isn’t scouting for the perfect vintage find or the city’s most unique latte, you’ll find her lost in a book with her cat, Hazel, by her side, or enjoying a perfectly poured cosmo.

Jordan McClendon Garcia

Co-Founder, Editor & Social Media Manager

Based in Denver, Colorado, Jordan is a multidisciplinary creative who lives at the intersection of style and strategy. Her journey began at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, where she honed her eye for design, followed by a degree in communications to master the art of storytelling. 


With a background spanning the beauty, haircare and lifestyle sectors, Jordan has spent years refining the digital pulse of social media and content strategy. Now making waves in the PR world, she brings a high-level editorial lens to The Curio Cabinet, blending media relations with a keen understanding of modern aesthetics. Whether she’s building a brand’s narrative or navigating the fast-paced world of public relations, Jordan is driven by a passion for innovation and the “next” in culture.

Music Editor

Born and raised in New Hampshire, Victoria is on a mission to explore nature, art and music. After obtaining her degree in literature, philosophy and religious studies at Willamette University, Denver seemed like an obvious destination and has proven to be quite the home. Victoria is deeply connected to the music scene in the city along with Denver’s strong community of like-minded creatives.
