Ouyi’s Rise: How Ali Taylor Built a Purpose-Driven Creative Agency
Ali Taylor is a lover of unique brands backed by strong storytelling. She values the people behind the work that makes brands flourish. As a natural leader and with determination to focus on facts, cancel out the noise and keep her attention on bigger goals, she founded ouyi at age 26. Now two years later, she is bringing creativity and flair to brands and building a tight-knit team fueled by authenticity.
As a creative production agency specializing in building strategy for brands, ouyi offers diversified strategic decision-making, creative excellence, comprehensive brand growth, empowerment and education for its clients.
“Everything within the agency is interconnected, reflecting how collaboration fuels its success,” said Taylor.

Taylor has always been the most genuine version of herself. Early in her career, she faced obstacles with tricky clients that contributed to her overall performance. She found herself pursuing “filler work” just to stay busy, ultimately teaching her the value in pursuing projects with real meaning and impact.
While Taylor’s career has offered her opportunities like working for Vogue, helping to open the Glossier store in LA and more, Taylor has always had the itch to lead her own team.
“Those experiences made her realize that leadership isn’t about permission — it’s about believing in your own capability and showing others what you can be,” said Mary and Ripley, interns at ouyi. “Over time, [Taylor] shifted from wanting to be a leader to becoming one, turning that confidence into the foundation for starting her own company.”
At first, ouyi focused on talent management, public relations and social media management, eventually expanding into broader growth marketing and creative strategy. While Taylor has learned countless lessons and tips as an entrepreneur, she is reminded of the importance of having patience, staying realistic and giving it her all.

According to her team, Taylor “believes that success starts with one seed and the right soil — it’s about nurturing what matters and letting it grow over time.” The people contributing to her mission are the building blocks for her success. She is inspired by the energy and alignment amongst the ouyi team, which contributes to her power and ability to stay grounded and focused on growth and opportunity.
Taylor often finds herself returning to the sources of her creativity, like the TV shows and movies that shaped her childhood experience. From Lizzie McGuire to Almost Famous to Sex and the City, many nostalgic Y2K influences continue to spark her creativity.
Ultimately, Taylor isn’t chasing a specific project or financial goals. She is focused on ouyi’s overall impact by inspiring others while building community and relationships. Eventually, she hopes to expand into film and television, bringing ouyi’s creative vision to life in a bigger way.
While Taylor is a leader, an innovator and a go-getter, she’s also approachable. She doesn’t take herself too seriously and sees the value in loving the work she does. She’s driven to inspire fellow female entrepreneurs, collaborate and create alongside others and to make a genuine impact through connection.
Keep up with ouyi and don’t miss upcoming chances to see Taylor in action alongside Emma Marlow at ROUGE – A Fashion for a Cause Event on December 13.
